The Springs Preserve will celebrate one of the world's most time-honored holidays with food and live entertainment at the fourth annual Asian Harvest Moon Festival.
The festival will feature cultural demonstrations, food, crafts and live entertainment, including performances by the Lohan School of Shaolin, Las Vegas Kaminari Taiko and Korabo Taiko, and Nani Ola Hawaiian Dance Company.
In addition, contestants from the inaugural Miss Asian Las Vegas competition will mingle with guests for photo opportunities and autographs.
Observed by numerous cultures throughout Asia, the Moon Festival parallels the autumnal equinox of the solar calendar and is an occasion for family and friends to reunite for lantern parades and to eat moon cakes, the festival's traditional food.
