Asian Heritage Celebration

We're celebrating Asian heritage with delicious food, a children's lantern parade, traditional musical and dance performances, and more!

Entertainment will include a lion dance, Taiko drummers, a martial arts exhibition, and more. Kids will enjoy free crafts, face painting and Lil Gliding Paws rides, and for the adults - beer will be for sale, including Lucky Buddha and Sapporo.

Main Amphitheater:
Music throughout the day by DJ Livinh.

  • 11 a.m. - Lion Dance by Lohan School of Shaolin

  • 12 p.m. - Japanese Obon Dance by Las Vegas Buddhist Sangha

  • 1 p.m. - Las Vegas Kaminari Taiko

  • 2 p.m. - Thai Cultural Arts Association

  • 3:20 p.m. - Lion Dance by Lohan School of Shaolin

*Additional singers and dancers throughout the day including a K-pop dance presentation.

Martial Arts Exhibition:
Featuring traditional martial arts styles such as Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai, Krav Maga and Kenpo Karate.

Cooking Demos:
Limited samples available.

  • 11:30 a.m. - Chef Chen Wei Chan of Wazuzu at Encore will teach easy tips to make Korean style ribs

  • 1:30 p.m. - Chef Chen Wei Chan of Wazuzu at Encore will teach easy tips to make Panang Curry

  • 3:00 p.m. - Chef Steve Piamchuntar of Divine Cafe will teach the secrets to a delicious Thai Ice Tea

Wu-Wo Tea Ceremonies:
The Las Vegas Tea Club will conduct traditional Wu-Wo tea ceremonies at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Observers are welcome to join the ceremonies but space will be limited.

Ikebana (Japanese Floral Art) Demonstration:
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Chieko Fukushima, AIFD, CFD, will be demonstrating Ikebana (Japanese Floral Art) in our Gift Shop!

$5 for adults, $3 for children ages 5-12. Children 4 and under get in for free. Online price includes $1 convenience fee.
