Gardens Workshop: Cacti and Succulents 101
All cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are cacti. We'll discuss the differences and show you how both types of plants can add dimension, color and texture to your landscape. Learn care tips, too!
Instructor Jeff Meckley is a conservation programs coordinator for the Southern Nevada Water Authority. A former nursery owner and landscape contractor with more than 30 years of experience working with Southern Nevada horticulture, Meckley provides information on saving water through plant selection and irrigation efficiency.
Our eight acres of botanical gardens are cared for by some of the best in the business, and now they're sharing their secrets and tips with YOU! Learn the joys and rewards of Mojave Desert gardening. We repeat each Saturday workshop on Sunday, so attend on the day that's best for you.
