The Desert Living Center embodies the
mission of the Springs Preserve.
Comprised of five buildings featuring dozens of interactive exhibits, classrooms, meeting space and much more, the Desert Living Center (DLC) is the green jewel in the crown of the Springs Preserve.
Certified Platinum LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) by the U.S. Green Building Council, these buildings embody the Preserve’s message of sustainability.
Learn about topics as diverse as eco-friendly building materials, alternative fuels, green cleaning products, recycling, composting and much more via playful displays in the Sustainability Gallery, that allow people of all ages to interact with sight, sound and touch. Kids will enjoy playing in the Compost Crawl and Garbage Truck Theater. Discover how to save both money and the environment with our Smart Shopper kiosks and Sustainable House displays.
The adaptable conference space at the DLC has become a popular place for green-minded individuals and organizations to host events, meetings and social gatherings. Other locations at the DLC, such as the expansive Gardens Plaza and intimate Gardens Amphitheater make for scenic and serene backdrops for special occasions such as weddings.
