The average Las Vegan throws away 3,000 pounds of garbage each year—twice the national average. We can do better, since much of what we throw away isn't even trash: 40 percent is recyclable and 15 percent is compostable. Composting is a fun and easy way to recycle "green" waste that improves your soil, nourishes your plants and conserves water. Join us to learn the simple basics of composting. It promises not to be a waste.
