Our hands-on, interactive school tours are aligned with the Nevada State Standards.

Tours are offered Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. School tours are free. Guided tours are limited to 70 students. There should be one chaperone or teacher for every five students. Additional chaperones pay $15 admission.

Springs Preserve is on the exception list for blackout days. School tour bookings for 2008-2009 will begin on Monday, Aug. 4 for CCSD schools and Monday, Sept. 22 for all other schools. Call Springs Preserve Education at (702) 822-7744 to schedule school tours.

We also offer monthly "teach the teacher" workshops that, upon completion, allow teachers to bring their students on a self-guided tour free of charge. Call Springs Preserve Education at (702) 258-3254 to register. Upcoming workshops:

  • Friday, Aug. 15, 9 a.m. to noon
  • Friday, Sept. 19, 9 a.m. to noon
  • Saturday, Oct. 4, 9 a.m. to noon
  • Saturday, Nov. 15, 9 a.m. to noon

This program made possible in part by generous grants from Citibank, Nevada and Bank of America.

We also offer downloadable scavenger hunt worksheets to aid instructors with the self-guided tours. These fun, interactive scavenger hunts help young learners understand and retain the information they glean from the Springs Preserve’s exhibits and galleries. Click here for more information and downloadable worksheets.

Tours are broken down into themes that represent the Springs Preserve's mission. Below is a listing of the themes for the upcoming year and the months they are offered. Information on each theme will be added soon.
