Flash Flood

One of the most dramatic and popular Springs Preserve exhibits, the Flash Flood exhibit allows you to experience first-hand the formation and effects of a flash flood.

Walk into the Flash Flood exhibit room, which recreates a desert ravine. The room emulates the beauty and tranquility of the desert, until a thundering storm erupts.

Suddenly, 5,000 gallons of recycled water crash through the ravine as a simulated flash flood rushes through the exhibit and below your feet. Learn to appreciate the awesome power of desert flash floods and their impacts.
