Gardens Workshop: Permaculture Basics

Permaculture asks "How would nature do it?"—because Mother Nature always knows! We'll show you how you can apply permaculture's holistic approach to your landscape.

The result: a yard with the synergy of plants, water, energy and living spaces—one thats more than the sum of its parts.

Learn the joys and rewards of Mojave Desert gardening from the best in the business—our horticulturists and community experts! We repeat each workshop, so attend on the day thats best for you.

About the instructor:
Jessica Penrod is a teacher and a founding member of Great Basin Permaculture. A passionate advocate of sustainable design, she has worked with community members to build the first permaculture-designed spaces in Las Vegas, including the Permaculture Learning Garden at Vegas Roots. Jessica is a graduate of UNLV's College of Education with a B.A. in Elementary Education, and has completed a Permaculture Design Course with Scott Pittman, as well as Permaculture Teacher Training with Scott Pittman and Larry Santoyo in New Mexico.
