We are no longer accepting entries for the 2016 Southern Nevada Landscape Awards.
More than half of the water consumed in Southern Nevada is used for landscape watering, particularly sprinkler irrigation of grass lawns. In partnership with the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA), the Southern Nevada Landscape Awards contest proves that water-efficient landscapes can be lush and colorful outdoor living spaces.
Is your beautiful water-smart landscape the talk of the neighborhood? Share it with us and help spread the word that water-smart living has a style all its own.
Your Southern Nevada Landscape Awards entry may be for front yard, back yard or both front and back yards. The entries may be for a new landscape or an upgrade of a previous landscape.
The contest is split into the following categories:
Thank you to our partners for helping make the Southern Nevada Landscape Awards possible.
Congratulations to the winners of the 2016 Southern Nevada Landscape Awards!
We are proud to name the Community Garden award after the late Linn Mills. Linn was a respected local horticulturist who worked with the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, the Southern Nevada Water Authority, the Springs Preserve and the Las Vegas Valley Water District. Known as Doctor Green Thumb, Linn was devoted to the community and to the art of vegetable gardening. Linn retired from the Water District in 2012 after 15 years of service, but continued to share his vast gardening knowledge at the Springs Preserve, teaching gardening classes and offering advice at special events, until his passing in February 2014.
