Nuwu Pahsats Opening Ceremony

  • Date & Time: Saturday, March 28, 2026, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Location: Botanical Garden
  • Admission: Free for members or included with paid general admission.
  • RSVP: No reservations required. The blessing ceremony from 9 to 10 a.m. will be by invite only. Afterwards, all members of the public will be welcome to explore with membership or general admission.

The Springs Preserve and local members of native Southern Paiute tribes will celebrate the opening of Nuwu Pahsats (The People's Garden), our newest garden honoring the traditional relationships and lifeways of the resilient, Indigenous people of Southern Nevada.

After a private ceremony and blessing, Springs Preserve guests will be invited to explore the garden, participate in a scavenger hunt, and meet with local, Indigenous vendors.

Nuwu Pahsats Opening Ceremony Itinerary

  • 9 to 10 a.m. Invite-only ceremony for Southern Paiute elders, guests, and dignitaries.
  • 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Garden will open to the public with activities and local vendor tables.

The Springs Preserve Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to supporting programs, projects and events at the Springs Preserve.
