Due to COVID-19-related guest safety issues, some previously-planned events and activities may not be held at the Preserve this year. Other member benefits may be affected as well. We will publish updates to membership information on our website and in our newsletter to members.

FAQs for members during the COVID-19 closure

Yes, all memberships valid as of March 16, 2020 will be extended for lost time. We will continue to be flexible with membership expiration dates until we fully reopen our museums and galleries.

Currently, we are not issuing renewal notices because of membership extensions. Once museums and galleries reopen, renewal notices will resume for all levels of membership.

In order to support our sustainability initiatives, we do not typically mail member ID cards. However, due to the current conditions with COVID-19, we are accepting requests to mail out your membership cards upon request. General

Donor memberships are tax deductible to the extent provided by law. Under Internal Revenue Service guidelines, the amount of Donor Memberships, less the value of benefits received, are fully deductible as a charitable contribution unless otherwise reduced by other applicable rules and regulations by the Internal Revenue Service.

We send tax statements, if applicable, in January of each year to donor members. Please save all your receipts for your donor membership purchases. If you lost your receipt for your membership purchase, please call us at 702-822-7700.

No. You may only add one guest admission to an Individual membership. If you have additional guests, we suggest purchasing general admission tickets for that day's visit.

All memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase, including those purchased as gifts. Each member has their own unique expiration date.

A Family membership and all Donor-level memberships include two named adults, along with up to six dependent children or grandchildren. Children ages 3-17 must be added to a Family membership. Children 2 and under receive free general admission.

If a membership is purchased prior to a child turning 18 years of age, they may be included on a family membership; dependents over the age of 17 are restricted from being added as a child on a Family membership, but can be added as a secondary adult.

The Springs Preserve keeps membership costs as low as possible and continually strives to offer members new and added value; we do not offer discounts on new or renewal memberships. However, we do offer discounts on general admission for military, Nevada residents and seniors. Children 2 and under are admitted free with a parent or guardian.

Springs Preserve Donor members (Silver State memberships and above) receive recognition onsite and online. The onsite donor wall and online recognition is updated annually. Only the primary and secondary members will be recognized. To have your name removed from this listing, please call Member Services at 702-822-7700. Yes! We have an Individual + Guest membership that grants access for one individual and one unnamed guest. We do not offer a +Guest option at other levels; however, our Premium Family membership and Donor-level memberships (Silver State Pass, Gold, Platinum) include additional annual guest admissions.

On October 1, 2020, we changed the Bronze membership to a Premium Family membership and temporarily suspended the Silver State Pass. Due to the current conditions with COVID-19, we cannot offer free events as a member benefit. We have updated our member benefits to include access and donations in support of the Springs Preserve. The Premium Family membership (formerly Bronze) now includes two annual guest admissions instead of one; Gold now includes six guest admissions instead of three, and Platinum includes 12 annual guest admissions.

No, the age of your child is honored from the date of purchase until your membership expires. When you renew, you'll simply upgrade to a Family or Donor-level membership.

Yes! If more than 2 months (60 days) remains on your current membership, you will either pay the difference in dues to upgrade, or purchase an upgraded membership with an adjusted expiration date. Please visit our onsite ticketing window for details and to complete your upgrade.

If you are within 60 days of your expiration and are renewing at your current membership level OR within the same membership program (from one value membership to another or one donor membership to another), your expiration date will remain the same. For example, if your membership expires on 10/1/18 and you renew it on 9/15/18, your new expiration date is 10/1/19.

If you are renewing from 1-60 days prior to your current expiration date AND you elect to move from a value membership program to a donor membership program OR from a donor membership program to a value membership program, your new expiration date will be 1 year from the date of your transaction. For example, if your membership expires on 10/1/18 and you renew in a different program on 9/15/18, your new expiration date is 9/15/19. Since we want all members to enjoy as many of their benefits as possible, we recommend that you renew your membership as close to your expiration date as possible to avoid any potential time lost on your membership.

Online member discounts

If you're a Springs Preserve member, the only way to get ticket discounts online is to create and log into your Springs Preserve account. There is no need to enter a discount code. If you are logged into your online account and you are a member, your member discount will be automatically applied at check-out.

Not all classes and special events have an available member discount. First, check the event or class's web page to ensure that a member discount is offered.

If a member discount is available for the tickets you're purchasing, you need to log into your online Springs Preserve account for your member discounts to be automatically applied at checkout. Here’s how to get your tickets:

  • Request tickets online at springspreserve.org; you must have a current Springs Preserve online member account set up to make any online ticket requests and/or purchases. OR, visit the Guest Services window in advance of these events and show your Springs Preserve member ID and photo ID. We highly recommend advance ticket pickup, as lines during events may be lengthy.
  • Please have your member ID available to show to event staff when you present your event tickets for admission.
  • For multi-day events, you may request tickets for a single date only. If you wish to attend additional days of a multi-day event, you may purchase tickets at the member rate.
  • We regret that we are unable to replace lost or misplaced event tickets once they have been issued to our Donor members.

Registering for an online Springs Preserve account

If you're a Springs Preserve member, the only way to get ticket discounts online is by being logged into your Springs Preserve account.

The username for your online Springs Preserve account is your email address. If you've forgotten your password, use our Recover Password page to reset it.

Membership benefits

All members enjoy:

  • Discounts on activities and on select food* and merchandise. (*Cafe discount excludes alcoholic beverages, Happy Hour, kids menu and catering. Must present a valid membership card. Discounts are limited to total members on membership, and are not valid for additional guests.)

  • Early entry to the Gardens and Trails at 7 a.m.
  • Discounted admission to 300 gardens, arboreta and conservatories via the American Horticultural Society Reciprocal Admissions Program

PREMIUM Family members receive

  • Unlimited Butterfly Habitat admission* (*Habitat is seasonal. Benefit is for membership card holders only and does not apply to Guests.)
  • Year-round train rides (not including themed train rides/special events. Benefit is for membership card holders only and does not apply to Guests.)
  • Free stroller rental (first-come, first-served)
  • Preferred parking* (*Maximum of two parking passes per household. Spaces will be designated for donor members during major events. First-come, first-served. Window decal required.)
  • Free annual guest admission(s)* (*Valid for general admission only.)
  • 50% discount on general admission for additional accompanied guests

DONOR members (Silver State and above) receive additional benefits

  • Invitations to exclusive experiences
  • Recognition onsite and online

  • If you purchased or renewed your Springs Preserve membership on or after Jan. 1, 2016, you are eligible to receive a magazine subscription form. Additional identification may be required.
  • Subscription forms are available for pick up onsite at our Ticket Windows, along with your membership card(s). They are not mailed out to members. In the "Member Garden" field of the subscription form, please list "Springs Preserve."
  • Subscription forms are limited to one per membership or household.
  • Please allow 6-8 weeks for processing of the magazine. Keep in mind that the Springs Preserve does not distribute Better Homes and Gardens or Martha Stewart Living.

Premium Family members and Donor members receive access to the Butterfly Habitat and Train Rides. Your Springs Preserve membership card will note your membership level. Simply show your card at the Butterfly Habitat and Train entrances for access. Please note that the Butterfly Habitat is open seasonally in fall and spring (dates vary). Train Rides are unlimited during your regular member visits; please note that this benefit does not include themed or special event rides. The train schedule is subject to change based on weather, road conditions and event availability.

Note that these Donor benefits do not apply to Guests. Please see below.

When you choose a Premium Family or Donor level membership, you may bring 2-12 guests based on your membership level:

Premium Family: 2
Gold: 6
Platinum: 12

Guest admissions can be used an unlimited amount of times during the course of the one-year membership. Please note that the Annual Guest Admissions benefits are valid for general admission only. They are not valid for events or for activities and attractions (such as the Butterfly Habitat, Bike Rides, etc.). Additional tickets may be purchased at the member rate for your guest(s).

In the interest of sustainability, the Springs Preserve is going “paperless” with our Annual Guest Admissions benefits. Instead, we will note that the applicable number of Annual Guest Admissions according to your level directly on the membership card(s) of primary adult(s). Simply present your membership card as you bring your guest(s). You must accompany your guest(s).

Gift memberships

Yes, gift memberships can be purchased online on this page, or onsite at the ticketing windows for all levels of membership.

To purchase a Springs Preserve gift membership that isn't associated with a particular name, please visit our ticketing window and a Guest Services representative will assist you.

When you complete the online membership form for a gift, you'll be asked who the gift notification should be sent to. If you select yourself, you are responsible for notifying the gift recipient. If you select "gift recipient" in that field, the person you're giving the gift to will be notified by the Springs Preserve within 5-7 business days of the purchase.

Gift memberships (like regular memberships) are active upon the date of purchase.

If you'd like to keep your gift of membership a surprise for a later date, when you complete the online purchase form, in the "Send gift notification to" field, select "me" instead of "gift recipient." You can then print out the confirmation message and hand deliver it to the recipient.

If you received an online gift membership and your email was provided by the purchaser, you would have received an email with instructions for registering for an online account and picking up your new membership cards.

If your gift membership was purchased onsite at the Springs Preserve or online using the purchaser's email address, the purchaser is responsible for coordinating and delivering your membership cards.

Membership cards can be picked up during normal business hours upon your next visit to the Springs Preserve.

Membership cards

In order to support our sustainability initiatives, the Springs Preserve doesn't mail membership cards and packets; we offer on-demand card printing services for all of our members. Please pick up your cards upon your next visit to the Springs Preserve.

If you are unable to pick up your membership card(s) at the Springs Preserve, please call us at 702-822-7700, or send us an email.

Every member ID has officially changed to an alphanumeric ID. Your member ID should contain 10 alphanumeric characters (Example: 00012345AB). If you still have an old member number, please request a new card on your next visit to the Springs Preserve.

The Springs Preserve does not issue membership cards to children below the age of 18. Membership cards are only issued to primary and secondary members.

Membership cards are non-transferrable and may not be shared or used by any individual outside of the household.

Replacement cards are reissued onsite at the Springs Preserve. Photo ID is required for verification. If your cards are damaged, please bring the damaged cards with you to the ticketing window to exchange them for new cards. There is no fee for replacing membership cards.

While we don't offer digital membership cards or a Springs Preserve membership card app, there are many third-party apps available for download where you can scan and save your Springs Preserve membership card in your digital "wallet." Our scanners will accept these digital versions of your membership card.

Email subscriptions and mailings

As a Springs Preserve member, you are automatically subscribed to our Member email list. These emails contain information about special member offers and upcoming Springs Preserve events and programs.
