Date-specific general admission tickets must be reserved online in advance. No walk-up purchases will be permitted. Members of the Springs Preserve and Nevada State Museum need only to present their Membership ID upon arrival for entry. Masks are required for indoor spaces.

How to Reserve Date-specific Tickets

  1. General admission tickets must be reserved online in advance. Members need only to present their Membership ID for entry.

    $9.95 adults, $4.95 children (ages 3-17), free for children ages 2 and under. Free for members with valid ID.

    General Admission

    Tickets include admission to the Springs Preserve and Origen Museum, Nevada State Museum, Outdoor Natural Areas (including the Botanical Garden and Trails), indoor galleries and attractions (including Boomtown 1905 and WaterWorks), children's playgrounds, train rides, guided garden tours and pop-up demonstrations. (Tours and demonstrations subject to change. Please confirm daily availability and times onsite.)

  2. Choose a date.

    Tickets will be made available up to one month in advance. Tickets are limited per day, and are valid only for the date selected. You may arrive anytime between the scheduled opening time and the last entry time on your selected day. Once inside the Springs Preserve, you may stay as long as you like, within our operating hours and as conditions allow.

    The Springs Preserve is currently open Friday-Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Members get early entry to Outdoor Natural Areas at 8 a.m.) Last entry at 3 p.m.

  3. Add your tickets.

    Enter the quantity of tickets for your visiting party. Everyone in your group must have a ticket, including ages 2 and under.

  4. Enter your information.

    Tickets will be delivered to the email address associated with your online account. Bring your tickets and Membership ID, if applicable, for entry to the Springs Preserve. You may print your tickets, or show them on your mobile device for entry.

What to Expect During Your Visit

  • Date-specific general admission tickets must be reserved online in advance. No walk-up purchases will be permitted. Members of the Springs Preserve and Nevada State Museum need only to present their Membership ID upon arrival for entry.
  • Masks are required for indoor spaces.
  • Bottled water will be available for purchase and refilling stations for reusable bottles will be available, but drinking fountains are closed.
  • To limit person-to-person contact, payments are restricted to debit or credit cards only. Cash will not be accepted.
  • For the safety of our guests, some activities, including trails, train rides, and outdoor tours, will not be available when excessive heat warnings of 105 degrees or more are issued by the National Weather Service.

Important Health and Safety Information

  • Do you have a fever, cough, flu-like symptoms, sick people at home, or contact with someone with COVID-19? If yes, please stay at home!
  • Masks are required for indoor spaces.
  • Hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the property.
  • High-touch surfaces, including restrooms, are being disinfected throughout the day.
  • By visiting the Springs Preserve, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Activities and attractions

Most areas of the Springs Preserve are now fully open! Activities available with a member reservation or date-specific general admission ticket include access to the Springs Preserve's outdoor trails and gardens, indoor galleries and attractions, Origen Museum, Nevada State Museum, children's playgrounds, train rides, guided garden tours, and pop-up demonstrations. (Tours and demonstrations subject to change. Please confirm daily availability and times onsite.)

Train rides are available on a first-come, first-served basis with your member reservation or date-specific general admission ticket. The train runs every half-hour from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., or until the temperature reaches 105 degrees. The train schedule is subject to change based on weather and road conditions. Free guided garden tours take place Friday-Monday at various times, and are available on a first-come-first-serve basis with your member reservation or date-specific general admission ticket. For the safety of our guests, tours will not operate when excessive heat warnings of 105 degrees or more are issued by the National Weather Service. Please confirm daily availability and times onsite.

Yes, the Origen Museum is open! This space includes more than 75 permanent exhibits, a traveling exhibit space, the indoor Big Springs Theater, and is home to our new Gift Shop. Most other indoor areas, including WaterWorks and Boomtown 1905, are also open. 

The Divine Cafe is open Friday-Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations are not required to dine at the cafe. However, you must present your Membership ID or reserve a general admission ticket online in advance to visit other areas of the Preserve.

The Butterfly Habitat is currently closed for the season. Weather permitting, it will reopen in spring 2022.

Yes, the Botanical Garden is open!

Yes, the main children's playground and new Mariposa Playground and Splash Pad are open!

Member access is restricted to the maximum number allowed on your membership level: Individual (1); Individual + Guest (2); Family, Premium Family (Formerly Bronze), Silver State, Gold and Platinum (2 adults and up to 6 kids under age 18 plus annual guest admissions). Children ages 2 and under are free. Members may redeem annual guest admissions at the Ticketing Office. Any other guests accommodating members will need to purchase a date-specific general admission ticket online in advance.

Members with children ages two and under may check in at the Ticketing Office upon arrival. No advance online reservation is required.

If you plan to visit the Springs Preserve in the near future, you can pick up your membership cards at the Ticketing Office when you arrive. In order to support our sustainability initiatives, we do not typically mail member ID cards. However, due to the current conditions with COVID-19, we are accepting requests to mail out your membership cards upon request. Please submit a request for your cards to be mailed via the Contact Us form, and allow 2-3 weeks for your request to be completed.
