The Outdoor Natural Areas of the Springs Preserve (including the Botanical Garden and Trails), the Nevada State Museum, and the Divine Cafe are open. All other indoor galleries and attractions remain temporarily closed. We continue to monitor current COVID-19 conditions and recommendations from health officials, and look forward to fully reopening all areas of our campus as soon as safely possible.

How to Reserve Date-specific Tickets

  1. Select your ticket type from the options below.

    Free for members. Non-members: $5 adults, $2.50 children (ages 3-17), free for children ages 2 and under.

    Springs Preserve Members Nevada State Museum Members Non-members / General Public

    Tickets include admission to the Springs Preserve, Nevada State Museum (Friday-Sunday only), access to Outdoor Natural Areas (Botanical Garden and Trails), playground, outdoor animal exhibits, train rides, guided garden tours and pop-up demonstrations. (Tours and demonstrations subject to change. Please confirm daily availability and times onsite.)

  2. Verify membership eligibility, if applicable.

    Springs Preserve members must sign in to their online account to verify membership eligibility for reserving free tickets. Forgot your password? Request a reset link. Don’t have an online account? Register for one. Not an active member? Join or renew today and get a full year’s worth of free visits, exclusive member access and more.

  3. Choose a date.

    Tickets will be made available two weeks in advance. Tickets are limited per day, and are valid only for the date selected. You may arrive anytime between the scheduled opening time and the last entry time on your selected day. Once inside the Springs Preserve, you may stay as long as you like, within our operating hours and as conditions allow.

    The Springs Preserve is currently open Friday-Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Members get early entry to Outdoor Natural Areas at 8 a.m.) The Nevada State Museum is open Friday-Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Last entry at 3 p.m.

  4. Add your tickets.

    Enter the quantity of tickets for your visiting party. Everyone in your group must have a ticket, including ages 2 and under. Member access is restricted to the maximum number allowed on your membership level: Individual (1); Individual + Guest (2); Family, Premium Family (Formerly Bronze), Silver State, Gold and Platinum (2 adults and up to 6 kids under age 18 plus annual guest admissions.) Limit 10 per reservation for Nevada State Museum.

  5. Enter your information.

    Tickets will be delivered to the email address associated with your online account. Bring your tickets and Membership ID, if applicable, for entry to the Springs Preserve. You may print your tickets, or show them on your mobile device for entry.

What to Expect During Your Visit

  • All visitors, including members, must purchase or reserve a date-specific online in advance. Tickets will not be available onsite.
  • Indoor areas, including the Origen Museum, Gift Shop and Nature Exchange, remain temporarily closed.
  • Wheelchair, stroller and bike rentals are not currently available.
  • Bottled water will be available for purchase and refilling stations for reusable bottles will be available, but drinking fountains are closed.
  • To limit person-to-person contact, payments are restricted to debit or credit cards only. Cash will not be accepted.
  • For the safety of our guests, the trails will close and our train will not operate when excessive heat warnings of 105 degrees or more are issued by the National Weather Service.

Important Health and Safety Information

  • Do you have a fever, cough, flu-like symptoms, sick people at home, or contact with someone with COVID-19? If yes, please stay at home!
  • Fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in any setting, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.
  • Hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the property.
  • High-touch surfaces, including restrooms, are being disinfected throughout the day.
  • By visiting the Springs Preserve, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Activities and attractions

Activities available with a date-specific ticket include access to the Springs Preserve's outdoor trails and gardens, Nevada State Museum (Friday-Sunday only), children's playground, outdoor animal exhibits, train rides, guided garden tours, and pop-up demonstrations. (Tours and demonstrations subject to change. Please confirm daily availability and times onsite.)

Train rides are available on a first-come, first-served basis with your date-specific ticket. The train runs every half-hour from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., or until the temperature reaches 105 degrees. The train schedule is subject to change based on weather and road conditions. Call 702-822-7700 for daily schedule details.

Free guided garden tours take place Friday-Monday at various times, and are available on a first-come-first-serve basis with your date-specific ticket. Please confirm daily availability and times onsite.

Not at this time.

The Divine Cafe is open Friday-Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations are not required to dine at the cafe. However, you must reserve a ticket online in advance to visit other areas of the Preserve.

Due to COVID-19-related guest safety issues, previously-planned events will not be held at the Preserve this year.

The Butterfly Habitat is currently closed. This seasonal attraction is scheduled to reopen in fall 2021.
