Although influenced by ancient Spanish and French cultures, the delicious aroma, peculiarly specific ingredients and uniquely social nature of Basque cuisine speaks to a world all its own. The Divine Cafe at Springs Preserve taps in to that comfortable, old world feeling with The Basque Kitchen, a hands-on cooking class and interactive culinary experience.

With our professional chefs at your side, you'll taste, see and feel the roots of the old country with a deliciously modern flare as you cook and eat Basque favorites. The full, family-style production may include txikiteo (pinchos and croquettes), Basque insalata (marinated vegetables), alubias de tolosa (traditional beans), tortilla de patatas (Spanish omelet), txipirones (squid in ink), marmitako (seafood stew), bacalao al pil pil (fried salt cod), chilindron (rabbit and chorizo), txuleton (grilled rib-eye), zikiro (barbecue lamb), and pastel vasco (almond cake with pastry cream and cherry.)

Please note: this class is for ages 21+ only. Basque-inspired alcoholic drink pairings (picon and cider) are included.
